Born in Manchester and raised in Fife, Scotland, Simon James is a photographer and educator currently based in the Sultanate of Oman. His journey behind the lens began in 2002, sparking a passion that has since taken him to over 70 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and the Americas.
Simon’s work is rooted in the intersection of people and their physical environments. He is drawn to the quiet choreography of daily life—observing how individuals interact with the spaces they inhabit. This fascination with the "spirit of place" is exemplified throughout his work.
